THE  PET  DOG

I met a dog on the street

Who let out a cry!

As I came close he whimpered

I wondered why?

He was hungry and thirsty

And I couldn’t tell him bye

I took him home and looked after him

All day and night

He wags his bushy tail

When he’s full of joy

Now I have a pet dog

With twinkling eyes.
